Practice Schedule

For the 20026 season, our team will practice on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday afternoons.  Practices are usually held on local trails, however, we may expand practices to Angler's Park (Danville, VA) or Farris Memorial Park (Mayodan) to prepare for race weekends. Practice structure varies with a combination of skills development, conditioning, riding, and trail work days. This is subject to change based on weather, trail status, and coach availability.  Please check TeamSnap for up-to-date information. There is no mandatory practice requirement. 

We do require all student athletes to arrive practice ready.  This means a bike in good working order, appropriate clothes for the weather, hydration and snacks, bike gear, gloves, and a light. 

Try it Out

Student athletes are eligible to participate in three practices before they need to be fully registered in PitZone. Coaches may participate in one practice.

Platforms

Pitzone is the NICA platform for registration.  Once registration opens, please reach out to our Team Director at guilfordgearsmtb@gmail.com to request access to Pitzone.  

TeamSnap is utilized by NCICL for communication and registration for events, camping, and other activities.  You will receive access to TeamSnap once you are registered as a student athlete or coach. 

Jerseys & Team Gear

Guilford Gears jerseys are ordered in time to arrive prior to the first race. We keep several extra jerseys on hand in case there are delays in shipment.  Gear (hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, etc.) will also be available.
